how to check a roll of wallpaper
Follow these 4 steps (repeat the procedure for each roll):
- Check for any defects visible before opening the roll (dents, scratches, edges).
- Check for any visible defects after unwinding part of the wallpaper roll (before cutting).
- Check pattern fit and color accuracy after preparing 3 strips (on the floor before laying).
- Install 3 strips, check the pattern and color for accuracy.
At each of these stages, the responsible specialist will respond appropriately and refrain from installing any further wallpaper. Complaints submitted after more than three strips of wallpaper have been installed may not be considered – the defective product must be returned and sent back to the factory for inspection.
- Keep your labels! The label is necessary to verify the purchase source and production date.
Sample scenarios:
SITUATION A: The wallpaper is unrolled and there are visible blemishes, creases, or stains. Please keep the labels, take a photo of the unrolled roll with the visible blemish, and send the photos to biuro@jzwalls.pl. Then, deliver the defective rolls, along with the labels, to the store where you purchased the product.
SITUATION B: You've started work, but something doesn't seem right after the strips are laid (color, shadows, other discrepancies that weren't noticeable before installation) – follow the 3-strip rule – if a defect is visible, don't install any more! Prepare photos and labels (!), without which it's difficult for us to process your complaint. After taking photos, remove the strips of wallpaper, dry the adhesive, and place them in the return shipment.
